Executive Team

Chairman – Tony Cann, CBE, DL, Hon.LLD

As Chairman and owner of Dynamax Technologies Tony takes an active interest in the strategic direction of the company. 
 
In addition he has interests in a wide range of companies and a variety of markets, which collectively generate global sales in excess of £300M
 
He is also a Trustee of The Ruskin Foundation, member of the Strategy Board of the Institute of Effective Education at the University of York, and Trustee of the Bowland Charitable Trust.

He has served as a Director of the University for Industry, a Governor of Nelson and Colne College, a member of the National Advisory Council for Education and Training Targets (NACETT), Chairman of the Finance and General Purposes Committee at Lancaster University, as the founding Chairman of the East Lancashire Training and Enterprise Council (ELTEC), and a founder member of the Further Education Funding Council (FEFC).
 
Awarded the CBE for his work in education and training, he has also received an Honorary Doctorate from Lancaster University.

 

Chief Executive Officer - Ian McKenzie

Ian's background of business consultancy in the IT sector brings a rich plethora of management skills and innovation into Dynamax. He believes that Dynamax are differentiated from competitors through the strength and values of their brand, derived from the quality of relationships they hold with all internal and external stakeholders.  

 

Director and Chief Technology Officer - Howard Smith

As a founding Director of the company, Howard is responsible for Strategic Product Development, training and customer support. Howard is skilful in identifying industry trends and the respective application of computer technology. He believes that the key to Dynamax's success lies with first understanding customer needs and then providing 'Best-in-Class' solutions with integrated customer support. 

 

Head of Finance and Company Secretary - Paul Culligan (F.C.M.A)

Prior to joning Dynamax, Paul controlled the finance functions for a number of £30m SME organisations. He brings both PLC and acquisition experience to his role at Dynamax which will be vital as the business grows and increases in value.
